2.7 ) Facilities Management

This segment provides both local and overseas customers with a comprehensive range of facilities management services.

Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited manages the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre ("HKCEC"). With 91,500 square metres of total rentable space, HKCEC is a premier venue for exhibitions, conventions, meetings, entertainment events, banquets and catering events in the Asia Pacific region. It was voted the "Best Convention & Exhibition Centre in the Asia Pacific" for the sixth consecutive time in the 2008 Industry Survey conducted by CEI Asia Pacific magazine.

Free Duty retails duty free liquor, tobacco, perfume, cosmetics and general merchandise at the Hong Kong International Airport, Ferry Terminals in China Hong Kong City and Shun Tak Centre, China Ferry Terminal and MTR Hung Hom, Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau Stations.

Facility Services offer property and carpark management, cleaning, security and guarding, laundary and landscaping services:

Urban Property Management Limited manages around 200 properties with a total gross floor area of around 11 million sq m of commercial, industrial and residential properties in Hong Kong, including Grand Millennium Plaza, City One Shatin, Parc Palais, Park Lane Shopper's Boulevard, etc.

KLPS Group Limited focuses on the property service market in Mainland China and Hong Kong, and provides a full range of agency and marketing solutions. It manages a total gross floor area of around 5 million square metres in Hong Kong including projects such as New World Centre and Convention Plaza.

Waihong Environmental Services Limited's services cover cleaning and auxiliary, pest and termite control, waste collection, disposal and recycling. It is currently providing janitorial services to MTR urban line stations and Airport Express, as well as the Passenger Terminal Building of Hong Kong International Airport.

General Security (H.K.) Limited provides guarding services including gurkha; armed and armoured transportation; special events security management; tele-protection services through computerized tele-recording system; supply, installation and maintenance of security systems.

New China Laundry Limited offers laundry and dry-cleaning, linen management, maintenance and replenishment services to prestige hotels, high class clubs and restaurants, airlines and a theme park in Hong Kong. Its laundry outlets, Kleaners, provide customers with dry cleaning and laundry services. It also provides industrial textile wash for clients in Guangdong Province in Mainland China.

Urban Parking Limited operates and manages over 7,000 parking spaces in HKCEC, New World Centre, etc. The company also engages in sales and installation of car park equipment.

Hong Kong Island Landscape Company Limited provides material supply, planting and maintenance of soft landscape work to hotels, institutions, residential projects, government entities, etc. Besides, it sells and hires plant products. Total area of its nurseries is about 20,000 square metres.

CiF Solutions Limited delivers packaged IT applications, enterprise solutions and professional IT consultancy services to businesses in Hong Kong, Mainland China and South East Asia.

Care & Services Company Limited provides 24-hour residential and nursing care for the elderly in its two centres in North Point and Tsuen Wan. The Ward of Special Care opened in 2002 caters for the needs of the elderly with mental illnesses.
