November 2011

  • NWS Holdings announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Moscan Developments Limited, entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Kaiming Holdings Limited in respect of the acquisition of an aggregate of 75% of the total issued shares in Widefaith Group Limited, representing approximately 36.34% effective interest in Hangzhou Ring Road (“HZRR”). Upon completion,the Group’s effective interest in HZRR will increase from approximately 58.66% to 95%.
  • NWS Holdings announced that Wuhan Sino French Waste Water Treatment Co. Ltd., a joint venture with Wuhan Chemical Industry Park, Degremont Water Treatment Systems (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, was established through its joint venture SFWD. The effective interest of NWS Holdings is 21.5%.

September 2011

  • Xiong Jian Ping, Vice-mayor of Tianjin Municipality, Tommy Cheung, Executive Director of NWS Holdings and the representatives from Tianjin Infrastructure Investment Group and Tianjin Expressway Group joined the inauguration of Tangjin Expressway (Tianjin section) expansion work.
  • SFWD announced that the first phase of the Yuelai water treatment plant, jointly owned by SFWD and Chongqing Water Group, had officially commenced operations which contributed to an expansion from 540,000 m3/day to 740,000 m3/day in capacity. Construction of the second phase is now underway.
  • Xiamen Haicang Xinhaida Container Terminals Co., Ltd has live-run with annual handling capacity of one million TEUs.

August 2011

  • The indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Grace Crystal Limited of NWS Holdings entered into a capital increase agreement with Tianjin Expressway Group Co., Ltd, pursuant to which the total investment amount and registered capital of Tianjin Xinzhan Expressway Company Limited which is engaged in the construction and management of Tangjin Expressway (Tianjin North Section) will be increased by RMB3,657.23 million and RMB1,219.10 million respectively.

June 2011

  • Tate's Cairn Tunnel Company Limited celebrated its 20th Anniversary.

April 2011

  • Jiangsu province’s first sludge drying unit, a joint project by Sino French Water Development Company Limited, marked the official opening.

March 2011

  • NWS Holdings announced the acquisition of interest in three water projects in Jiangsu province through its joint venture entity with an attributed total investment amount of approximately RMB300 million. The three water projects, namely Nanjing Golden State Chengbei Waste Water Treatment Plant, Taizhou Golden State Water Plant and Taizhou Golden Harbor Water Plant, are already in operation with a concession period of 30 years.
