- In line with its corporate strategy to streamline its business structure, NWS Holdings announced on 11 June 2010 that the Group had entered into an agreement with Fung Seng Enterprises Limited to dispose of certain subsidiary companies engaged in service businesses for a total consideration of HK$888.5 million.
- In June 2010, NWS Holdings entered into the Share Transfer Agreement in respect of the acquisition of 8% equity interest in China United International Rail Containers Co., Limited (“CUIRC”). Upon completion, the Group will increase its interest holding from 22% to an aggregate of 30% in CUIRC and remains the second largest shareholder of CUIRC. The acquisition of additional interest holding was made at the cost of approximately HK$350 million.

- Sino French Water Development Company Limited, together with Chongqing Water Group and Changshou Chemical Industrial Park Development and Construction Company Ltd., secured a new 50-year concession for industrial water services in Chongqing Changshou Chemical Industrial Park via a new joint venture of the three parties in May 2010. The effective shareholding by NWS Holdings is 25.52%.

- Sino French Water Development Company Limited ("SFWD") was awarded an Operation and Maintenance contract in Dalian for two wastewater treatment plants on Changxing Island in April 2010. The two plants will be managed by 95% and 5% joint venture between SFWD and ITOCHU Corporation respectively. Starting operation in July 2010, the two wastewater plants both have a daily capacity of 40,000 cubic meters per day.

- On 29 March 2010, Sino French Water Development Company Limited strategic partner, Chongqing Water Group, was listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange. It is Chongqing’s first key state-owned enterprise to obtain a listing in A shares on the Shanghai stock market.
