Corporate Social Responsibility Committee
The CSR Committee was set up by the Board on October 2004 and is
composed of two executive directors and a non-executive director of the
Company. Current members of the CSR Committee include:

The CSR Committee meets at least once a year and is responsible for formulating
the social responsibilities strategies and policies of the Group, overseeing
the development and implementation of the Group's social responsibilities
strategies, policies and practices as well as the Group's corporate volunteer
team, NWS Volunteer Alliance, and other charitable activities.
Corporate Policy on CSR
NWS Holdings together with its SBUs pledge to endeavour to adopt CSR principles
in all business practices. As a responsible corporate citizen, we will
earnestly consider the social impact of our transactions, maintain highest
ethical standards and comply with laws and regulations when conducting
businesses and dealing with our staff. We are also committed to capitalizing on
our strengths and resources to remunerate society through various means
including voluntary service, donation and sponsorship.

Charities Foundation
NWS Holdings established NWS Holdings Charities Foundation
Limited in November 2006 and has contributed fully HK$5 million to it to
support worthy causes such as community welfare, environmental protection,
education and health care.
NWS Volunteer Alliance Committee
NWS Holdings has been serving the community through its volunteer team
NWS Volunteer Alliance since 2001, and it has set up the NWS
Volunteer Alliance Committee in September 2007. The committee, composed of
representatives from the Group's Corporate Office and member companies, is
responsible for planning, coordinating and running volunteer activities in
joint forces with an objective to raise involvement in volunteer services
across the Group.
Environmental Committee
NWS Environmental Committee was set up on December 2007 and is chaired by
Executive Director Mr William Doo Junior and composed of representatives from
member companies. The committee is responsible for formulating up-to-date green
strategies and actualizing the environmental and social responsibility across
the Group.
Environmental Policy
NWS Holdings and its SBUs are committed to taking environmental considerations
as integral part of our corporate culture and the decision-making process. We
take every reasonable and practicable measure to conserve resources and
minimize waste in our business operation. As a responsible corporation, we
comply with environmental legislations and thrive to exceed this baseline where
possible. We also encourage our suppliers and their staff to conform to our
environmental policy.
Hong Kong Green Purchasing Charter
NWS Holdings became one of the Founding Members of the Hong Kong Green
Purchasing Charter on October 2007, making a lasting contribution to the
environment through green purchasing.
Clean Air Charter
As a responsible corporate citizen, NWS Holdings supports Project CLEAN AIR
launched by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Hong Kong
Business Coalition on the Environment by signing The Clean Air Charter on
November 2006.
Fair Trade Workplace Society
To contribute to a better and sustainable world, NWS Holdings became one of the founding members of the Fair Trade Workplace Society in May 2008. Besides adopting Fair Trade products in office, NWS Holdings is also committed to promoting the concept of Fair Trade.
