Family volunteer award for NWS Volunteer Alliance members

Mr Lai Chun Tung, bus captain of New World First Bus Services Limited and also member of NWS Volunteer Alliance, and his family was awarded as one of the Outstanding Families under the Best Family Volunteers Recognition Scheme by the Social Welfare Department on 5 December 2009, recognizing their active participation in volunteer activities.

NWS Holdings garnered Hong Kong Volunteer Award (Corporate Award)

NWS Holdings received the Third Hong Kong Volunteer Award (Corporate Award) granted by the Agency for Volunteer Service at the Third Hong Kong Volunteer Award Presentation Ceremony on 6 November 2009, marking a successful chapter to the Group's ongoing efforts in volunteer works. Mr Kwok Tsan Lam, Bus Captain of New World First Bus Services Limited, achieved the Certificate of Recognition in the Individual and Volunteer Group Award category.

Award of 10,000 hours for Volunteer Service

In recognition of its active contributions in volunteer services to promote social harmony, NWS Holdings was presented with the Award of 10,000 hours for Volunteer Service by the Steering Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service of the Social Welfare Department at the Seminar on Corporate Volunteering cum Award Presentation Ceremony on 8 October 2009.

Outstanding Second Career Award for NWS Volunteer Alliance member

Lam Wing Lok, Bus Captain of New World First Bus Services Limited was presented the Outstanding Second Career Award by Lion Rock Junior Chamber and Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, recognizing his active involvement in volunteer services by using his spare time.

Recognition from the Social Welfare Department for the eighth consecutive year

In recognition of its over 10,000 hours devoted to social service in 2008, NWS Volunteer Alliance received the Gold Award for Volunteer Service from the Social Welfare Department for the eighth consecutive year. A total of 33 volunteers were awarded (two Gold Awards, 13 Silver Awards and 18 Bronze Awards).

NWS Life Rejuvenation Scheme 2007 - Art for More garnered Merit Award

NWS Holdings' Life Rejuvenation Scheme 2007－Art for More co-organized with TWGHs Fong Shu Chuen Day Activity Centre cum Hostel won the Merit award in the Best Corporate Volunteer Service Project Competition 2007–08 from Social Welfare Department. The programme aims to develop participants' potential, skills and creativity, and to enhance their self-confidence through art workshops.

NWS Holdings was honoured with the Total Caring Award and Caring Company Logo

In recognition of the Group's CSR efforts, NWS Holdings was honoured with the Total Caring Award by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (“HKCSS”), the most prestigious award in the Caring Company Scheme. In addition, the Group and its 21 member companies were honoured with the Caring Company Logo by the HKCSS.

Recognition for Volunteer Services

Tung Wah Group of Hospitals staged the Corporate Partnership Recognition Ceremony on 4 March 2009. NWS Holdings was presented with the Excellent Corporate Partnership Award for the Living a Dynamic New Life programme organized by NWS Volunteer Alliance and New World First Bus Services Limited / Citybus Limited in 2008. New World First Bus Services Limited / Citybus Limited, KLPS Group Limited and New China Laundry Limited also received recognition at the ceremony.
