Family Carnival (28 November 2009)

YWCA Ming Yue District Elderly Community Centre launched the Family Carnival at Quarry Bay Park on 28 November 2009. A total of 26 members of NWS Volunteer Alliance participated in the event, hosting game booths and helping in body check for the elderly participants and clown performances.

Volunteers raise fund for charity (October to December 2009)

The members of NWS Volunteer Alliance took part in several fund raising activities, including selling flags for Lok Kwan Social Service, Chinese Evangelical Zion Church Limited, Hong Kong Rehabilitation Power, Christian & Missionary Alliance Church Union of Hong Kong and Green Power respectively, as well as participating in CyberRun for Rehab－Healthy Steps in Cyberport 2009, The Eighth Charity Walkathon for the Elderly, Charity Walkathon and Fun Day of Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, UNICEF Charity Run 2009, Orbis Pin Campaign 2009 and "Pass-it-On 2009" Charity Sales Fundraising Campaign organized by Hong Kong Red Cross.

Tourist for All (27 September 2009 )

Sponsored by NWS Holdings Charities Foundation, Shek Kip Mei Lutheran Centre for The Blind organized a "Tourist for All" tour on the World Tourism Day, 27 September 2009. During the tour, led by 29 members from NWS Volunteer Alliance, the visually impaired participants visited Ma Wan Park and Noah's Ark and explored the needs for improvements to the community.

Volunteers raise fund for charity (July to September 2009)

The volunteers of NWS Volunteer Alliance took part in several fund raising activities, including selling flags for Hong Kong Red Cross, Agency for Volunteer Service, Life Education Activity Programme and UNICEF, The Conservancy Association, The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, Castle Peak Hospital, The Mental Health Association of Hong Kong, Carnation Women's Association and Society for the Welfare of the Autistic Persons respectively, as well as participating in Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hong Kong Raffle Sales 2009 and The sixth Fu Hong Society Charity Walkathon.

Embracing Challenges Enriching Lives Movement (16 May 2009)

NWS Volunteer Alliance participated in the Embracing Challenges Enriching Lives Movement organized by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service on 16 May 2009. Over 40 volunteers distributed souvenirs in North Point and Taikoo Shing to spread a life-enriching message in the current hard times.

The volunteers of NWS Volunteer Alliance took part in several fund raising activities, including selling flags for Society for the Promotion of Hospice Care, Hok Yau Club, Society for Community Organization, Playright Children's Play Association, End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation, Breakthrough and Cheung Chau Rural Committee Integrated Youth Centre respectively, as well as participating in Walkathon 2009 organized by Hong Kong Christian Service.

The volunteers of NWS Volunteer Alliance took part in several fund raising activities, including selling flags for Hong Kong Association for Cleft Lip and Palate, Amity Mutual-Support Society and Hong Kong Red Cross respectively, as well as participating in Island Scout Trailwalk cum Walk for Life 2009 jointly organized by The Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society, Scout Association of Hong Kong - Hong Kong Island Region and Rotary Club of Hong Kong Harbour.

Charity Laisee Campaign 2009 (26 January to 9 February 2009)

The Group joined Hong Kong Christian Service Charity Laisee Campaign 2009 during Lunar New Year and received the Best Fundraiser Award (Corporate) and the Highest Participation Award (Corporate).

Taifook Securities participated in The Community Chest Corporate Challenge 2009 which took place in Sai Kung Pak Tam Chung Country Park on 18 January 2009 and made donation to The Community Chest of Hong Kong.
