Photography workshops for volunteers (19 and 26 June 2010)

To enable volunteers to master basic photography skills, NWS Volunteer Alliance organized two Photography Workshops on 19 and 26 June 2010. Elaine Kwee, a photography enthusiast and a non-staff member of NWS Volunteer Alliance, was invited to teach skills in exposure, composition, etc., at the workshops. Volunteers proceeded to take outdoor photos during the second session.

NWS Volunteer Alliance members assisted in dance performance (12 June 2010)

On 12 June 2010, 13 members from NWS Volunteer Alliance offered their assistance to "Crazy for Dance 30s－The Warmest" Chinese Dance Performance in pre-show preparations and backstage coordination. Organized by HKIEDSU Chinese Dance Arts Volunteer Society, the performance featured elderly and physically-challenged dancers.

Volunteers participated in fund-raising activities (April to May 2010)

The members of NWS Volunteer Alliance took part in several fund raising activities, including selling flags for Hong Kong Playground Association, Society for Community Organization, The Boys' Brigade Hong Kong respectively, as well as participating in The Seventh Walkathon "Walk for Happiness" organized by Hong Kong Christian Service and 2010 Christian New Life Association "Dare Youth No Drugs" Walk & Family Fun Fair.

Charity Laisee Campaign (14 to 28 February 2010)

NWS Holdings participated in the Third Charity Laisee Campaign organized by Hong Kong Christian Service from 14 to 28 February 2010 and received the Highest Participation Award and the Best Fundraiser Award in the corporate category.

The members of NWS Volunteer Alliance took part in several fund raising activities, including selling flags for Fu Hong Society, Senior Citizen Home Safety Association and Zion Social Service respectively, as well as participating in The 17th Green Power Hike, HSBC Share-to-care Volunteer Campaign organized by Agency for Volunteer Service, Charity Walkathon 2010 organized by St. James' Settlement and St. James' Church, Valentine's Rose Charity Sale 2010 organized by St. James' Settlement and Charity Walkathon 2010 organized by Hong Kong Association for Cleft Lip And Palate.
