Caring elderly visits (12 June 2010)

Waihong Environmental Services Limited recruited 26 members from NWS Volunteer Alliance to join an elderly visit organized by Po Leung Kuk Lau Chan Siu Po District Elderly Community Centre on 12 June 2010. During the visit, the volunteers brought the elderly residents in Lam Tin healthy food items.

On the same day, NWS Engineering Group Limited co-organized with TWGHs Yu Mak Yuen Integrated Services Centre another elderly visit to deliver rice dumplings to the elderly in Sham Shui Po.

Haircutting service for the elderly (April to June 2010)

Volunteers provided haircutting service for elderly residents of Care & Services Elderly Centre (North Point), PLK Lau Chan Siu Po Neighbourhood Elderly Centre, PLK Lau Chan Siu Po District Elderly Community Centre, PLK Fong Tam Yuen Leung Health Enhancement Centre for the Senior and HKSKH Tsz Wan Shan Day Care Centre for the Elderly from April to June 2010.

Fairy mentors and mentees conducted elderly service (16 January 2010)

NWS Volunteer Alliance and Hans Andersen Club jointly launched a Fairy Mentorship programme in May 2008. Making use of their volunteer service experience, some 20 mentors and mentees provided volunteer service for two elderly centres in Chuk Yuen Estate on 16 January 2010. The elderly all enjoyed the programme and games designed and led by the mentors and mentees.

Volunteers provided haircutting service for elderly residents of Po Leung Kuk Lau Chan Siu Po District Elderly Community Centre, Po Leung Kuk Lau Chan Siu Po Neighbourhood Elderly Centre, Po Leung Kuk Fong Tam Yuen Leung Health Enhancement Centre for the Senior, Care & Services Elderly Centre (North Point) and HKSKH Tsz Wan Shan Day Care Centre for the Elderly from January to March 2010.
